Ep 18: Gratitude Check In; A Thankful Transformation
Episode 9 was all about the gratitude experiment that we implemented in November 2020. In this update, 4 months later, we discuss how this practice of operating from a position of thankfulness has changed us in body, mind, and spirit. This practice of giving thanks in all things has had a dramatic impact on both of our lives. We hope that this episode gives you the encouragement to start this powerful practice.

God, today I actively choose to reject panic, fear or anxiety as a result of what’s happening on the world stage, and I cling to Your promise that You hold my future in the palm of Your hand, and have plans to prosper, bless and keep me and give me hope and inform my own specific identity and destiny. I trust You.
Today I choose to interpret my life wisely. I choose gratitude and vision. I am a crucial component of world history and I connect to You right now, Jesus, in a completely new and radical way. You are the Great I Am, who is from Everlasting to Everlasting. You are my Father, my Friend, my Eternity and my Great Confidence. How could I ever doubt the way You’ve made me to be? I accept that I am fearfully, wonderfully and skillfully made and I appreciate how and who I am.
Thank You for my brain, my systems, my face and my body. Thank You for my spirit, that is able to connect so instantly with Your spirit. Thank You for the incentive and the invitation to know You more intimately and to learn directly from You, Jesus. Thank You for pouring Your spirit out without any measure and being available to me at all times.
Thank You for Your edification, comfort and exhortation. You call me further, higher and deeper and You display tremendous, creative possibility at every turn. You inform my thought life and teach me to see and perceive like You do more and more every day. All You require is my ‘yes’. If I don’t quit, I win.
Thank You for Your availability. You perform acts of healing, justice and restoration billions of times per second, and somehow have all the time in the world for me. Your attentiveness reinforces my understanding of my value. I am seen. I hold Your gaze. You find me fascinating… as a result of this, how could I possibly ever doubt my worth?!
Your friendship and goodness makes me jealous to embody the compassion, empathy, passion, fire and love of Jesus! I want to be so full of the energy of God and His zeal for all of creation, that my first instinct is outrageous gratitude, passionate purpose and acts of courage and bravery that I never thought I was capable of. I desire the confidence and mind of Jesus!
Thank You for conceiving of me, planning and designing me, and placing me carefully in the time and place that was ready for me. I am like Esther, created for such a time as NOW, to bring deliverance and freedom in lots of different ways. It may not seem like I’m doing much, but I don’t pretend to understand the currency of heaven, and will do what needs doing when it needs to be done.
I receive Your love for me in an entirely new and fresh way today, God. I anticipate connection and encounter with Your love and I am beyond grateful to You. Thank You.
